● Security & privacy

Private by design

We built Flintalk so the most sensitive part of your day, your live conversations, stays on your machine and out of sight.

Your files stay on your machine

Your documents, your knowledge bases, and your saved conversations live on your machine. Retrieval over them runs locally. We don't upload your files or your meeting content to train anything.

Audio is never stored

Call audio streams over an encrypted connection to the transcription service, is transcribed live, and is discarded. It is never written to disk, on your Mac or on any server. The only thing we keep is the minute count we need to meter usage.

Invisible on screen share

The overlay is excluded from screen capture, so it stays invisible when you share your screen on Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. No bot joins the call, and no other participant sees it. We verified this against the real apps.

Secrets stay in the Keychain

We store your sign-in session encrypted in the macOS Keychain, backed by Apple's Secure Enclave. It is never written in plain text.

Signed and notarized

The app is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so macOS Gatekeeper checks that it hasn't been tampered with before it runs.

Server-side metering

We meter only the minutes you use, and we measure them server-side so the count stays accurate and a modified client can't fake it.

What leaves your Mac, and what doesn't

To answer a question, we send the detected question and any snippets you've chosen to use to the AI provider through our proxy, which keeps API keys server-side. Your full documents, your transcripts, and your audio are not uploaded. We don't store anything about your meeting beyond the minute count we use for billing.

You're in control

  • Choose which knowledge bases an agent can use.
  • Turn web search on or off per agent.
  • Delete any saved conversation from your Mac whenever you want.
  • Sign out to remove your session from the device.
